Now if that doesn’t work, go to where the i pod settings and Scroll to the bottom and check off "Manually manage music and video" then on the side toolbar under the i pod tab it will say music. Unfortunately, no. There is no possible way to get the .ipa file extension on the iPod nano. The software is not comparable on the nano because there is no touch screen. You cannot jailbreak a nano, and there is no way to get software to play ipa files. Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance.

As far as i know, you have to transfer all your purchases to you computer. its easy anyway! here’s how:

1. Open iTunes

2. Plug in your iDevice

3. Go to the "Tools" bar in the top. Click on it

4. If you look down, you should see a little section that says "Transfer purchases from (iDevice’s name)." Click on it.

5. It should all work out from there

6. Once everything is on your computer, restore it.

7. Press "Sync" in your iPod’s section

It works on Mac and PC i think, but the instructions are clearer if you have a Mac.*

Now, all your purchases are on your computer, so if you ever need to restore it again, hit sync!

*Probably only works on iPod Touch, though
